Description This case report describes two cases of surgigally solved chylothorax. The first is a three-year-old cat with implanted pacemakers and a second a 6,5-year-old female of Welsh Corgi Cardigan breed. In the cat were changes of mediastinum so advanced that they could not be identified and therefore were not possible to ligate the thoracic lymphatic ducts. Due to the progressive anorexia, cachexia, and dyspnoea, the cat was the 4th day after thoracotomy euthanased. In the second patient, duct ligation was performed without accompanying palliative treatments with satisfactory results.
