Description With the implementation of prevention programs, especially cytological screening (oncology exfoliative cytology – OC), in developed countries incidence of cervical cancer is declining. Further decline will be recorded, vaccina- tion against human papillomaviruses (HPV). Early detection of dysplasia and cervical cancer remains a major health problem, yet. The aim of the article is presentation of possible discrepancies in the results of non-invasive methods and biopsies in cervical lesions diagnosis. These cases can appear in daily gynecologic practice.
