Description Eleven boys have been examined for juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma and subsequently operated on at the Child ORL Clinic in the 15-year period from 1999 till 2013. The age span was 13-18 years. Surgery was the primary treatment, which followed after angiography and embolization of supplying tumor vessels. The tumor was removed in nine patients by endoscopic operation, and in two patients an e approach for lateral rhinotomy was used. A residuum was detected in one patient during a control MR. The patients were regularly followed up in the postoperative periiod and a radiological examination, CT or MR was performed one year after the surgery. The overall period for which the patients were followed lasted 3.2 years on the average.
