Description During pregnancy, expectant mother is more predisposed to foodborne diseases. The consumption of risk food and poor hygiene during food processing and storage can be a risk factor for endanger the health of mother and also unborn child. The article focuses on pathogenic microorganisms and diseases prevention. Aim of the practical part was to determine the women's awareness of potential microbiological risks associated with food consumption and frequency of risk food consumption. Most women observes the principles of correct manipulation with risk food and avoids the consumption of risk food. Women's awareness of the nutritional risks from health care professionals is low.
