Description The hemangioma is a vascular abnormality of the character of arteríovenous shortage. According to WHO, the hemangioma is a benign neoplastic vascular lesion and the hemangioma of the vertebral body is counted as the most common benign neoplasia of the vertebral column. in majority of the cases, the hemangioma is coincidental findíng in radiological examination. It is mostly asymptomatic and solitary spinal lesion. The hemangioma has some clinical disabilities oníy in 1 % of the cases- back pain, in čase of compression of the nervous structures also neurological disabilities, together with radiologie criteria, ií is called aggressive hemangioma. The diagnosis of the hemangioma is based on typical radiological findings, while aggressive hemangioma can be a diagnostic dilemma. The treatment depends on the aggresivity of the hemangioma and differs from the observation, conservative therapy and the miniinvasive surgical methods to the radical vertebrectomy.
