| Description | Alzheimer’s disease (AD) represents the most common cause of dementia. According to amyloid cascade hypothesis, pathogenesis of the disease could be slowed down or even stopped by inhibition of beta-secretase. On-line capillary electrophoretic methods represent a promising tool for screening of the enzyme’s activity. A generic on-line CE method for kinetic and inhibition studies of BACE was therefore introduced. |
