Description The main task of the imaging methods is to evaluate bowel quality, assess the anatomical proportions of vessels, to determine the length of the intestines, to assess the intraabdominal organs and to find possible complications of the underlying disease, including the evaluation of the therapeutic response. All available radiological methods are used, each with its merits and limits. The dominant position in the comprehensive assessment of the abdominal organs, including the small intestine, has computed tomography tomorrow. However, it is necessary to keep in mind the relatively large radiation dose of the examination. Ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging have objective limitations for these conditions. Classical RTG enteroclysis now has a special indication: states after repeated resections, with vague anastomoses, and relatively detailed determination of the length of the residual intestine.
