| Description | Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is one of the most important medical emergencies. The reason is the high mortality, the close dependence of the extent of myocardial damage on the duration of ischemia and at the same time the existence of very effective treatment. The intensivist must understand the basic pathophysiological mechanisms and know the initial management, basic pharmacological and invasive treatment options for ACS. At the same time he must be able to diagnose and treat his complications. |
