Description The position of the fetus in the pelvic end position is the longitudinal position, in which the pelvis of the fetus rests on the pelvic fetus and the head is placed in the uterine fundus. During childbirth, the advancing circumference of the urging part is smaller than the subsequently born part of the fetus. This can lead to a higher risk of peripartum complications, and therefore these births are among the risky ones.
