Description Stroke is a major cause of mortality and disability worldwide. Stroke patients often experience medical complications. Respiratory complications are one of the most common. Acute respiratory failure caused by aspiration, pneumonia, pulmonary oedema, pulmonary embolism, decompensated COPD or asthma, and pneumothorax significantly increases the risk of poor outcomes. Bedside lung ultrasound can help clinicians in rapid diagnosis that plays a critical role in management of respiratory complications.
