| Description | With the growing emphasis on individuality and the rise of the media, it is easy for many people, especially young people, to feel that they have to choose from a plethora of options about what they want to be, what they like, what their identity is. In fact, they are asked to 'invent themselves', so to speak, from scratch. But such a requirement places a disproportionate burden on the psyche. There are undoubtedly people for whom, for example, finding their gender identity is more difficult. It is only right that such topics are openly discussed. However, we should also see the flip side of such awareness-raising. |
