Description As a decisive etiological factor in uranium doleh acts in the formation of occupational bronchogenic alpha-radiation carcinoma. The causative factor is radon and its breakdown products. Radon is a gas that is produced by the radioactive decay of radium and uranium as a member of the uranium-radium radioactive decay series. In uranium mines emanates from uranium ore and natural decay passes into products of radioactive transformation with release alpha radiation. Radioactive particles bound to dust creates a radioactive dust aerosol that after inhalation deposits on the surface of the lining of the airways; is running out to decay with the release of alpha radiation with high biological effect on the surrounding tissue. The radiated energy is absorbed in the basal cells of the bronchial epithelium, mainly in lobar and segmental bronchi. In recognizing this occupational diseases, the so-called probabilistic approach is applied in our country.
