Description During the last years the authors diagnosed some cases of tuberculous processes on the bones remains from the various historical periods. The paleopathological diagnosis was based on macroscopical, radiological and histological examinations. The most of the progressive method - DNA detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis using PCR - was used. The presented research based on experience with paleopathological diagnostic methods of tuberculosis attempts to uncover the limits of all known means to diagnose tuberculosis on the bones.
