| Description | The author is concerned with an intracapsular therapy of the temporomandibulr joint in case of the chronic closed lock. Twenty patients who underwent this intervention were evaluated in light of range of closing and rate of pain. The evaluation was carried out at least two weeks, and then three and six months after performing the arthrocentesis. Six months after the lavage general improvement of the state was recorded in 55% of patients (opening more than 30mm in the inter-incisal distance, either no or minimum pain). |
