Description There were quantified sonochemical effects of ultrasound on the basis of a comparison with radiochemical effects of a cobalt source BIOSTER. As chemical dosememters, the chloroform/water system in which pH value decrease occurs, and potassium iodide solutions were used. The therapeutic apparatus Beutyline was used as an ultrasound source. Comparison of the results allowed to attribute an equivalent absorbed dose (measured in Gy) to the cavitation effects.
