Description In the present study there was studied the influence of methamphetamine on the activity of cytochromes P450 and N-acetyltransferase (NAT)in the rat liver microsomes in comparison with the effect of known enzyme inducers: phenobarbital, beta-naphtoflavone and dexamethazone. Methamphetamine significantly inhibited CYP2E1, but, on the other hand, it stimulated NAT. Other investigated enzymes were not significantly influenced.
