Description NFAT is a nuclear protein that undergoes activation in myelomonoctic cells and plays a key role in regulation of osteoclastogenesis. In this study we showed that BM2 monoblasts with increased level of NFAT expression become more sensitive to retinoic acid. These cells respond to the retinoic acid treatment by growth arrest, changes in cellular morphology, increased phagocytic activity and production of oxygen radicals.
