| Description | Patient with severe heart failure continues in receiving beta blockers or ACE inhibitors. Further drug therapy is digoxin and diuretics. The most severe patients receive also positive inotropes, in present dobutamine or levosimendan are the most frequently used. The substances for possible future use are istaroxim, omecantiv mecarbil and gene therapy. |
