Description Septic shock is a condition of great importance due to its significant incidence and considerable mortality. Basic molecular mechanisms and pathophysiological actions responsible for hemodynamic changes in sepsis are discussed. Further, strategy of fluid management and the individual modalitis of hemodynamic monitoring are outlined. Finally, the main hemodynamic patterns of septic shock with regard to the extent of fluid resuscitation are described.
