Description The author presents a case report of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis in workers in the manufacture of homemade dumplings. The negative result for flour-specific IgE does not exclude the existence of allergy to flour and the development of occupational disease. The values of specific IgE are reduced and can disappear within several days, if the patient is in an environment where the allergen is present, the skin prick test may be negative after a few weeks without exposure to the allergen. If we suspect occupational respiratory diseases, further investigation is required such as the collection of specific IgE and skin prick tests as soon as possible following the detection of problems.
