Description Stereotactic amygdalectomy or unilateral ventromedial hypothalatomy had been used in the treatment of sexual aggressivity. The improvement was observed in most cases. In patiens with criminal sexual paraphilias, anteriot hypothalamotomy was found with favorable results in 50% patients. Deep brain stimulation (DBS) of the posteromedial hypothalamus can be considered an effective procedure for the treatment aggressive behavior and perhaps also for the treatment of severe paraphilias.
