The Faculty of Medicine, separately or in cooperation with other Masaryk University faculties and other institutions, organises regular events for general and academic public. Their aim is mainly the popularization of health, healthy lifestyle, innovation in prevention and healthcare.
The faculty’s academic and research workers are often guests in TV and radio programmes, regularly providing interviews and commentary on current issues of public health, healthcare and health prevention.

Vlček Family Foundation supported the lecture of two american experts in pediatric palliative care
Thanks to the support of the Vlček Family Foundation and its cooperation with the Palliative Care Support Team of the Children's Hospital of the University Hospital Brno, two American experts in pediatric palliative care lectured at the faculty.
Research team from ICRC will coordinate the prestigious European HORIZON EUROPE grant
The Cellular and Molecular Immunoregulation research team of the International Clinical Research Centre of St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno and the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, was awarded a prestigious international grant HORIZON EUROPE. The BEATsep project will focus on research into sepsis and septic shock, which affect up to 50 million people worldwide each year and account for almost 20% of global deaths.
Interview: Of mice and teeth
Three years ago, Jan Křivánek compiled an atlas of mouse dental cells, categorised them, described how they work and discovered several previously unknown cell types. The head of his own research group at the Institute of Histology and Embryology of the MED MUNI brings fundamental knowledge in the field of basic developmental biology. The latest results of his research were published in the August issue of the prestigious scientific journal Science Advances.
