The proposed project is based on the contemporary knowledge of functions of actin and microtubular cytoskeleton in cell reproduction of the yeasts S. cerevisiae, S. japonicus var. versatilis and S. pombe. In area of basic research the project has the aim :(i) to detect actin and microtubular cytoskeleton in human pytogens Cryptococcus neoformans, Malassezia pachydermatis and Aureobasidium pullulans; (ii) to find out the effects of antiactin and antimicrotubular inhibitors on their cytoskeleton in vitro; (iii) to detect, if any inhibitors would destroy actin cables, rings and especially actin "patches"- actin structure specific for fungi; (iv) to identify, if any of antimicritubular inhibitors would destroy microtubules, and especially SPB-structures, sp ecific for fungi; (v) to suggest the most effective combination of antiactin and antimicrotubular inhibitors to block proliferation of human pathogens in vitro. The results pbtained may represent a theoretical basis for further possible causal therapy of
