Description The aim of the questionnaire survey was to determine the preferences, frequency and cnosumption patterns of breakfast cereals (BC) in children,in adolescents and adults. The results showed the BC consumption was highly popular in both groups with the most common consumption frequency of 2-3x weekly mostly for breakfast and for an afternoon snack. Older respondents preferred toasted/baked muesli or pure muesli, children distinctively preferred the BC intended for their age group. BC addressed to children however show in many cases low nutritional score that is not adequate to serving of high quality cereals. In contrast, the consumption of BC had a positive contribution to higher consumption of dairy products in both groups.
