| Description | Dental calculus has recently been recognized as a good source for studying historical populations. Any particle that passes through the oral cavity can be trapped inside and preserved for thousands of years. The aim of this oral presentation is to show the first results of the research of pathogens in the ancient human dental calculus, using scanning electron microscopy, as well as several methods of molecular biology. |
