| Description | o TTV GUIDE IT is a randomized, controlled phase II clinical trial comparing safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy between standard and Torque Teno virus-guided immunosuppression in stable adult kidney transplant recipients. Almost every one of us carries the so-called Torque Teno virus in our bodies, which can be used to measure the intensity of the immune system. The objective of the TTV GUIDE IT clinical trial is to evaluate whether measuring the concentration of Torque Teno virus in blood can improve the dosing regimen of immunosuppressive drugs and thus reduce the number of infections and transplant rejections. Sponsor of the trial is Medical University of Vienna and in the Czech Republic the participating site is the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague. |
