Description The kinetics of phase transitions of cytidine adsorbed at the mercury electrode were studied by chronoamperometry and capacitance measurements. Cytidine forms highly ordered two-dimensional adlayers in a broad range of pH. The formation of the cytidine adlayer a compact film - is characterised by capacitance pits on C-E curves and current spikes on cyclic voltammograms. The interfacial transformation of the cytidine films yield a sigmoidal C-t transient which was analysed by Avrami theorem.
