Description Since 1980 miinvasive approaches have attracted surgeons of different specializations. During the last 10 years the laparoscopy began the shift from open surgical technics, while endoscopy at the same time changes approaches to the thoracic surgery. Recently the neck surgery became one of the most progressive applications of endoscopic technics. Thanks to these state-of-art technics the surgery results in remarkeble cosmetic effect, nearly painless postoperative period, minimal bleeding, good visualisation of NLR resulting in lower risk of itś lesion and easier preparation of parathyroid glands. On the other hand using this technic requires experienced surgeon. Methods: Diagnostics by US, scintigraphy, or FNAC if needed, endocrinological dispensarisation. Monitoring and surgery of patients choosed according to selective indication criterias : benign nodus smaller than 30 mm, volume up to 20 ml, no signs of inflammation, without previous neck operation or radiotherapy. Comparison of several different approaches and technics of miinvasive videoassist thyreoidectomy (MIVAT) and parathyreoidectomy (MIVAP) with selection of those technics most suitable for the given patient and selected surgical procedure. The basic goal is deciding about the optimal type of surgery as well as the type of the endoscopic technic in the benign lesions of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.
