| Description | The article describes the sources and transformations of chemical energy in the human body. Energetical data of main nutríents are presented and discussed. The generál features of different forms of energy and heat are compared. The atttention is paid to heat produced by human body, and its exchange wíth ambient medium. The article also draws attention to transmitted faults and incorrect claims in understanding of these concepts. |
