Description Focal neuropathy of the ulnar nerve in the elbow is common upper extremity mononeuropathy. The nerve is most affected locally in retroepicondylar groove, or in cubital tunel. Diagnosis is based on history, neurological and electromyographic examination. Conservative therapy of lesions of the ulnar nerve is not clearly standardized yet, and there is considerable variability in choosing the appropriate type of rehabilitation therapy. Electric stimulation of skeletal musles is used in the complex of therapeutic treatment for peripheral paresis. 7 patients with mild sensitive motor focal neuropathy in the elbow were subjected to education (preventive measures) and to repeated electrostimulation through the elbow. After 120 days, half of the patients (both electric stimulation group and the majority of patients without stimulation) has reported improvement in symptoms, no patient got worse. There was not obtained statistically significant changings in parameters of clinical electromyography, questionnaires and functional tests.
