6 projects supported by the Czech Science Foundation

In 2024, the Czech Science Foundation will support a total of six projects of applicants from FM MU. For two of the supported projects, the faculty is the principal investigator, and for the other four projects it is the co-investigator.

Internal Grant Agency of FM MU supports 13 projects

Faculty of Medicine introduced the first spin-off company and innovative MyWay analytix® solution for the management and prevention of mental health in organizations

On 30th October 2023, the Minister of Science, Research and Innovation, Helena Langšádlová, and the Deputy Minister of Health, Václav Pláteník, visited the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. The main objective of the visit was to introduce the first spin-off company linked to the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University - MilkyWay be well, s.r.o. and to discuss the innovative MyWay analytix® solution, developed in cooperation with the Institute of Medical Psychology and Psychosomatics under the leadership of doc. Světlák.

Research team from ICRC will coordinate the prestigious European HORIZON EUROPE grant

The Cellular and Molecular Immunoregulation research team of the International Clinical Research Centre of St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno and the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, was awarded a prestigious international grant HORIZON EUROPE. The BEATsep project will focus on research into sepsis and septic shock, which affect up to 50 million people worldwide each year and account for almost 20% of global deaths.

How fast do teeth and bones grow? A new method, published in Science Advances opening up further possibilities for tissue engineering

How fast teeth grow, what influences their growth dynamics and how dental tissues regenerate. All this can be monitored in detail by a new monitoring method developed by the research group of Assoc. Mgr. Jan Křivánek, Ph.D. from the Department of Histology and Embryology MED MUNI. At the beginning of August it was published in the prestigious scientific journal Science Advances.

Peter Solár attended the Global Young Scientists Summit 2023 in Singapore

A fresh graduate of doctoral studies represented LF MU at the Global Young Scientists Summit 2023, which took place in Singapore. The conference was held at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). It was attended by scientists from all over the world, including Nobel Prize winners and many other awards.

Postdoc Dorian Goueytes awarded with the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships starts at the FM MU

Dorian Goueytes has chosen Milan Brazdil’s team at I^st Neurology Department of the Faculty of Medicine MU and St. Anne’s University Hospital for his Postdoctoral Fellowship. Dorian is part of Nathan Faivre's team at the Laboratory of Psychology and Neurocognition at the Université Grenoble-Alpes, France.
