Investigation of common and organ-specific mechanisms of epithelial morphogenesis regulation by fibroblasts (Role of fibroblasts in epithelial morphogenesis)

Epithelial-mesenchymal interactions play a crucial role in organ development. Mesenchymal cells, such as fibroblasts, provide crucial signals for epithelial morphogenesis, but their exact roles, both general and organ-specific, are incompletely understood. In this project, I will investigate the role of fibroblasts in mammary and lacrimal gland development using genetic mouse models to decipher common and organ-specific fibroblast functions.
