Klíčová slova rapid sequence induction
Popis We are pleased that our survey has brought attention to rapid sequence induction (RSI). We want to congratulate Zdravkovic et al. on their survey. The actual number of respondents reaching 10 003 is far beyond every previously published survey. However, our aim was slightly different from that of Dr Zdravkovic. We aimed directly at the members of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) (maybe in an old-fashioned way – an e-mail) as we tried to address clinically active and registered anaesthesiology practitioners. Currently, there are several published surveys regarding RSI. However, none of them directly compares adult versus paediatric practice. The designs of the studies by Zdravkovic et al. and Klucka et al. are slightly different; the hypothetic clinical patient is considered in Zdravkovic et al. versus the description of the respondents’ RSI routine clinical practice in the Klucka et al. survey.
